Lightning and Overvoltage Protection for Main Power
GPAS for LV Ground Potential Overvoltage Attack
GPAS is a multifunctional and active lightning protection device that combines ground potential counterattack suppression and fault arc defense. It can significantly reduce the damage and impact of ground potential counterattack and arc faults on equipment when exposed to lightning hazards.
When a direct lightning strike occurs, the lightning rod or lightning protection network is connected, and strong lightning current flows into the ground grid. When high-voltage lines experience induced lightning overvoltage, lightning current flows into the ground grid through lightning arresters. When strong interference equipment such as welding machines work, the strong interference current generated by them will also flow into the ground grid. Strong grounding current can cause data loss, equipment misoperation, equipment tripping, insulation damage or burning in low-voltage power supply systems.
GPAS has higher reliability and shorter action time, which can effectively isolate high-frequency lightning currents, prevent lightning currents from invading the protective grounding network from the lightning protection grounding network, and effectively avoid the occurrence of safety production accidents such as fires and explosions.
LOPS for MV Bus Overvoltage Protection
The LOPS low-voltage bus overvoltage suppression device is directly connected in parallel to the bus, using technologies such as fast controllers, high-energy nonlinear resistors, overvoltage peak interceptors, and counterattack suppression. It is scientifically calculated and finely designed. LOPS fully utilizes the excellent volt ampere characteristics, huge thermal capacity, and fast response speed of overvoltage interceptors, nonlinear resistors, and counterattack suppression equipment. Generally, setting the action value of LOPS at 1.2 times the system phase voltage (customizable in special cases) can achieve good results during operation.
LOPS is directly connected in parallel to the busbar, using technologies such as fast controllers, high-energy nonlinear resistors, overvoltage peak interceptors, and counterattack suppression. It is scientifically calculated and finely designed. LOPS compensates for deficiencies such as SPD, combined overvoltage protection, and resistance capacitance absorption, completely solving the problem of overvoltage on the medium voltage main busbar.
LOPT for MV Overhead Lines Overvoltage Protection
35kV~6kV overhead lines usually install ZnO arrestors. There faults lead to tripping, line broken and black-out.
New Lightning Protection for Overhead Transmission Line (LOPT)is Based on near cathode effect, multi-level short gap arc blowing and extinguishing technology, breaking through the voltage sensitive characteristics of ZnO arresters, utilizes the principle of multi chamber gap arc blowing and extinguishing, special structural design to lengthen the arc path, achieving the goal of suppressing overvoltage and efficient arc extinguishing.
LOPT has advantages such as safer, more reliable, longer lifespan, and smaller maintenance. It can quickly release lightning energy, prevent lightning breakage and tripping, and has maintenance free and self-cleaning functions.
