New Lightning Protection for Overhead Transmission Line （LOPT）is Based on near cathode effect, multi-level short gap arc blowing and extinguishing technology, breaking through the voltage sensitive characteristics of ZnO arresters, utilizes the principle of multi chamber gap arc blowing and extinguishing, special structural design to lengthen the arc path, achieving the goal of suppressing overvoltage and efficient arc extinguishing.

LOPT has advantages such as safer, more reliable, longer lifespan, and smaller maintenance. It can quickly release lightning energy, prevent lightning breakage and tripping, and has maintenance free and self-cleaning functions.
